John Firestone, AIA

John Firestone, Secretary/Treasurer of FRS Design Group, Inc., has over thirty-four years of practical experience in architecture. As a managing principal in firms since 1977, he has had significant responsibility for virtually every aspect of the profession, and has a distinguished reputation for knowledge, integrity and professional capability. His primary responsibilities for FRS include client/architect relations, management and administration of medical facility and related projects, and office management.

During the past twenty-nine years, in this and other firms, John has been the project manager and administrator for city, county, and federal projects totaling more than $110,000,000 in construction costs. Representative of these experiences are the Tarrant County Administrative Building; Corps of Engineers Civil Works projects in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico; Municipal Administration Building Public Library, and Community Recreation Center for the Colony, Texas; the Fort Worth Police Administration Facility/Tarrant County Jail; and the Tarrant County Criminal Courts Facility. Most recently, he has been involved in the development of more than $65,000,000 in new and renovated construction projects for All Saints Health System and the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas.

John is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Texas Society of Architects, and the Fort Worth Chapter - AIA.  He was registered in 1993 as an Interior Designer by the State of Texas and is a past member of the American Correctional Association.  Locally, he has been a member of the Board of Directors for Casa Manana Musicals, Inc., as well as the planning advisory committee for the Fort Worth YWCA.  Currently, John serves on the Charles W. Tindall Memorial Board of the Osteopathic Health Foundation of Texas.
